I just wanted to pop in here and say hello.


I found this site a while back from another fish forum on the net, and it was fishforfun's images that caught my interest. Great pictures!

Sence then, I have looked at the photo contests from time to time as well as the gallery. Paradise, Jay's, and other images were wonderful to look at!

Lately Squidfish has wowd me with his amazing animal shots!

I am a huge animal nut, not just fish, and I hope to learn much more about wildlife photography, as that is a passion of mine.

Everyone here has many great images, and I hope to learn alot from you all B-) as I just got a new d70.
 
Travis, welcome to APF, I am sure you will keep enjoying the site. We are reworking our POTM system to be even better, starting with the next contest, so keep coming back , and also ... PARTICIPATE!!!
 
Hey Travis, welcome aboard to APF. I see you are a Nikonian too. Don't be bashful and start sharing some of your shots.

Btw, that's PhishPhorPhon. No "F" in my phish...:lol:
 
Welcome aboard, Travis! I recently bought a D70 too, because I got tired of blaming my equipment, now
I can only blame myself!:lol: BTW, luv the nick and avatar: (are you talking to me?) Saw "Taxi Driver" when it first came out in theaters.:-O

You'll find the mods, advice team and adminstrators, a helpful bunch to learn from;)
 
Welcome to APF. We're all fish lovers, but most of us are interested in other species too - as I'm sure you will have realised. I hope you enjoy our photos and I hope we'll be able to enjoy some of yours soon as well.

Yeah, know what you mean..."Chubasco" is the title to an old B&W movie in 1968, starring Christopher Jones and Susan Strasberg...besides meaning "tropical storm" in Portuguese, but it's the movie I drew
it from:)

Hope to see more of your work. If you can get a peregrine falcon to land on your hand, try to get a pic
snapped before your hand turns into hamburger...I'm kiddin';) Once again, welcome!


Also, one more little thing: how 'bout a real name sometime unless you're a wanted serial killer, and in that case "Travis Bickle" is just fine. :-/
