:naughty: I hail from the arowana forum but my aro had a mishap last week so I'm trying Brackish for a new change until I get my pair of Blacks. Anyway, I have a nice collection i think: a fig 8 puffer, a flouder, leop pleco, white sailfin mollie and bumble bee. So all's well, the feeding has become interesting. I didn't know ANY fish could eat like that puffer. He sits there beggin' like the yellow submarine when I drop in the bloodworms he's like a kid eating spagetti with so much crammed in his mouth he chokes. Then today he started taking bites of everything, dead and alive. So to sum it up, does "Sic little Pig" accurately describe all puffers? Damn, I'll put my hand in a tankful of aro's anyday over that little shrew! I'm chicken of a 1" fish!!!:WHOA: :headbang2
I can see the headlines: 1" puffer eats 100 lb woman !!!!! Geez!

So can I terrorize your forum for awhile? I know nothing about Brackish. I cannot lie.

LOL well you have quite the assortment there, and it sounds as if they are all doing well and getting along. About the puffers, LMAO yep, they can be that way. I love the little buttheads, but when I first started keeping them, and working with the larger ones, I did have my weak moments where I would have rather jumped into the shark tank than had to deal with those guys!! LOL sad but true. I think they just got to me since they are so damn quick, and ruthless. But anyways, what is it that you were looking to learn? More about those species, more about Brackish setting, or what? Just let us know and I am sure there will be plenty who have knowledge to share.

I don't have any problems, my water is good, the fish seem happy, so I just needed somewhere to go if I need to know something, and yes, that puffer is something! My flounder is one of the coolest things I've seen!:headbang2

You need to put on some weight woman!

(putting the duct tape back on)

I've been keeping fig. 8 puffers for a while now, and I can certainly attest to their voracity when it comes to feeding. The older and bigger they get, the worse it usually becomes.

(Side note) Arowanas, huh? Fascinating fish, though I've never tried housing them.

puffers:screwy: those @$$holes

plecos arent brackish or saltwater fish at all, and doubt will be appreciating it. if you can get the flounder and puffer to work that will be great, but id keep an eye on it, or more you're flounders eyes, as puffers are notorious for thinking they are a snack on things like soles and rays flounders etc... keep posted how that works

Thanks for the tips. I was so lonely without a n aro that I switched out my Brackish and now have a baby aro. It was the right decision, but I have a newfound reespect for puffers!!!!Being "with aro" is great, I never do not want to have one.......come check out our forum!!!
