Hello all
Great to see that there are so many enthusiasts the world over.
I did not realize there was a section on intros. Anyway, part of this was posted in another thread! Sorry moderators!
'Didn't want to start a whole new thread just for my first post. I am now finally ready to again pick up the hobby that I had left for about 6 years. I had started fishkeeping about 11 years ago, and had successfully kept a variety of fish including what I consider my most favourite: arowanas, snakeheads, gars, giant gouramis, so-called tankbusters. Unfortunately, I had to leave home in 2000 to pursue further studies and suffice to say, my fish did not survive my departure.
I now have a few tiger barbs just to get my feet wet first and re-learn the basics, and have been preparing a 60 gallon tank for a juvenile silver arowana that is still in the shop.'
Since I started this hobby, I have always wanted to try breeding silver arowanas and snakeheads. That will be my holy grail, but I will start with the barbs!
