Hi from Sacramento, Ca!

Well after an 7 year hiatus from owning an aquarium, I have the fever once again! Ended up selling my tank and all fish related equipment to a lucky guy on CL right before leaving for the military in 2007. Have since started a family, bought a house and I just realized I finally have the space/stability for tank once again!

I was a creeper on MFK and other sites back then, and I am grateful for all the knowledge and help I have received indirectly from members here. I have had a few great fish in my time, first of the larger being a beautiful (albeit common) green terror that got to about 10". Had some convict breeders, a festae, an umbi from Jeff Rapps (i think was his name, don't know if he's still around), and many others.

Goal now is to set up a 72x18 150 gal as a living room show tank (undecided on stock). I am honestly blown away by some of the new aquarium advances (and high prices) of tanks and equipment that I have been reading about since catching the fever once again.

Thinking about doing the sump thing for the first time (intimidating and thus far has made me feel like an idiot...still at square 1) as I have always used canisters and good old AC110's (or whatever they used to be called). But those were the days of cinder block stands and bachelor pads. Now I want a pro looking and quiet (hopefully) set up that is nicely displayed with nice stand/canopy.

Needless to say I am overwhelmed so, wish me luck on my quest to start back up! See you in Setup and Filtration:)

Welcome back. Look forward to seeing ur new setup.
