Hey everyone, great to be here. My friend reccomended this site for all my fishing needs, and I have to say I'm more than impressed with the community so far, you guys have a great forum going and I hope to be an active part.
Well, I was never good at that "Tell us about yourself!" stuff. So, you can call me Wubby, and I recently bought a 14 gallon tall fish tank a week ago. Man what a chore, it's so hard at first!
I bought red and white gravel, mixed it, put it in, put in 15 feeder minnows and goldfish (bunch of instant deaths, a lesson learned right there). Didn't like the gravel, got a lovely 2 tone green, then some live plants. More deaths ensued, tank clouded. Got some barbs, woke up the next morning to 3 dead minnows and both barbs dead, it was that damn orange one! (had the water tested). Got down to 4 fish -takes a breath- Returned the murderous large goldfish and 2 minnows, kept a baby minnow cause I liked him. Then (now) I bought 4 beautiful guppies, 2 males and 2 females. The baby minnow decided he didn't like the elegant blue male, and nipped and harassed him into a corner. So now he's seperated, tanks perfectly clear, the guppies are happy (tank temp dropped about 10 degrees from an open window. Got the heater on now to fix that.)
and that's been my week long journey in a nutshell. Many lessons learned. But I'm rambling and this is probably tl;dr, but I justed wanted to say a big hello to ya guys, and thanks for the awesome forum!
