Hello MFKs
I hail from Arcadia fl on the beautiful peace river. My wife had a stroke last year and is more or less homebound. One day at Wal Mart, I saw a one and a half gallon fish tank and knew she would like it.
I stocked it with a few grass shrimp and mosquito fish from the river. I made a small fish trap from a gallon plastic jar with inverted funnels cut from 2 liter bottles hot glued.
THEN I spotted the male sail fin mollies. They would not enter my trap. After chasing them around a creek for some days with a small net, I finally caught a 3 inch male (by this time I already bought a 5 gallon, lol)
Tommorow, my 29 gallon will arrive via FED Ex. I think I will focus on sail fins. African jewel cichlids are a dime a dozen in my fish trap but I don't think they are good tankmates.
