Hello everyone. New to this forum but have been visiting some threads as a guest in the past. Very interesting forum.

Have always been a big fan of predatory fish and have kept green sunfisH (Lepomis cyanellus), spotted clibing perch (Ctenopoma acutirostre), African leaf fish (Polycentropsis abbreviata) and South American leaf fish (Monocirrhus polyacanthus).

Hope to be able to share some of my experiences and also learn more about this hobby.

welcome to mfk.... so nice to meet you..looking forward to seeing your collection ... thanks for being part of MFK...

Thanks for the welcome Red Devil :)

Here are a couple of pictures of my new fish.
I have already kept some African leaf fish (Polycentropsis abbreviata) in the past and I was really keen in giving them another try. So I had 8 ordered from Germany after seeing them listed in a Germany stock list.
The only problem was that I aslo ordered 4 South American leaf fish (Monocirrhus polyacanthus) and they were far bigger than the African ones (amost 3 times as big) to be housed in the same tank. Knowing that whatever fits in their mouths is considered as edible I placed the African LF in a 100L planted tank afer removing all of my Red cherry shrimp.
Some pictures of the South American LF before and after being released in the tank.
