Hello everyone. I have been doing research on cichlids and other large fish for my aquariums. I recently purchased a 125 gallon tank that had the built in overflows, (two megaflow overflows), and a cpr wet/dry filter. I was concerned about the possibility of this causing a flood in my house and I had heard that the overflows were loud. Needless to say, I took the overflows out and I have purchased a Fluval FX5. I went with the larger filter because I wanted to make sure I had the proper filtration for my oscar and whatever other fish I put with him. I have two bala sharks and a pictus catfish that I plan on putting in with him in the 125 gallon. I have them in a 50 gallon with my african cichlid and tiger barbs right now until I get my 125 up and cycled. My 30 gallon tank has 3 gourami, 5 neon tetras, 2 tiger barbs, a betta, a rainbow shark, 2 emerald cory cats, a small pleco, 2 very small bumblebee cichlids, and a mini red crab. The bumblebee cichlids are going in my 125 when they are large enough. I'm having a hard time deciding what to put in with my oscar and his tank mates. I had heard that a blue oscar has evolved. Has anyone heard of this? I would love to have one to add some color to the tank. Also, if anyone is interested in a cpr wet/dry filter system and megaflow overflows give me a shout. I love looking at all the different fish pictures that are posted here. Have a great day!
