I am new to MFK and I am blown away by the knowledge that is exchanged. Looking forward to getting to know some of you fellow fish heads.

My story...I have a 250 gallon tank that my son will soon be stripping down and taking his marine fish with him to his new home. He is leaving the tank and filtration. We are going to fill it with mostly frontosa and calvus (that's the plan today!). I have collected some frontosa ranging in size from 8" to 1" and I am currently housing them in 3 - 30 gallon tanks and one 55 gallon tank. I have 18 frontosa now. I also have various peacock fry and 6 juvenile black calvus that are about an 1" in a seperate tank. That is where I am at today. I am looking to get some direction on identifying frontosa variants and discussing the set up of my 250 as I get closer to the transition.

welcome! sounds like a cool setup. I moved down here a like a year and a half ago after living in berthoud since '96. I'm up there almost every weekend at my parents'.

Welcome, another Coloradian

So who can tell me where I can find out how I can tell which variant is which? I have been told by the sellers...2 different guys...that I have 2 7-stripes, 13 burundis and 3 Moba. 4 of the fish are 8"-5". 9 of the fish are 3"-4". The 5 fry (1" fry) are burundi. Thoughts?
