HI,
My fiance builds acrylic aquariums, stocks and maintains for clients. We deal with all kinds...freshwater, marine and reef. I ended up on this site looking for information/resources for native fish. We have a 180 marine, a 50 gallon reef of our own. We have a new client with a 250 gallon freshwater setup at his business that we are in the process of trying to stock by december 10th with natives. He likes odd looking creatures, so, any help with that would be great. The water has been ready for awhile, with a crayfish, clam and two little perch to start things out/cycle. Having a hard time finding places that can supply us with natives. We are installing a chiller and possibly a future sump/refugium to replace the canisters that he has. We're thinking maybe darters and whatever other fish will work with those. Originally he was hoping for a short-nosed gar, but, it looks like that would be a problem..as they are predators and not easy to find. Anyhow, any suggestions or help would be appreciated. I"m not sure if I posted this on the right forum, as I realize this is an introduction area, but I am new and not sure where to go. So..I am Stef from NE Minnesota and it is nice to be here. Thanks for your time.
