i just bought a pair of bonded german blue rams....i think they'll be a good breeding pair, they seem to enjoy each others company, and she is very rose in color on her belly...i have had success with dempseys, but i hear rams are difficult...feel free to give advice if any out there ....thank you nicole

Howdy and welcome to MFK! You may be interested in the breeding section or maybe cichlids.

thanks for the wecome...i have been reading up on them alot in the breeding sction...i just don't like dirty tanks and i don't want to stress her with constant water changes and i don't know if i can put a bottom feeder in there or not. thanks

Welcome to MFK!!!

:welcome:

Lack of water changes will cause more stress than frequent ones (assuming the water changes are being done correctly).

it's day 5 with my new rams...they are both staying up at the surface of the tank almost looking as if they need air...little worried.(there is plenty of air though, they have a small air pump).i think she is pregnant so is this normal for a pregnant ram to do? and will the male stay up there with her? they are not fighting, the guy i got them from said they bonded as a pair and made me buy the female when i picked out the male i wanted. please help! thanks
