Hello Everyone! I have been creepin around the forums here for a while and I guess it is time to make a post and introduce myself. A bit new to fishkeeping but already in the middle of my first DIY project building a background. I am very interested in making a large tank one day so right now I am just collecting as much information as I can. Don't know what else to say- weather in NY has been crappy for a week but we got some sun today so everyone is happy! lol

I will post some pictures soon. After a few failed attempts I think this background is going to work. I had an issue with the concrete- user error for not reading instructions. I switched to quickcrete cement and I like the results. I carved out a foam rock wall and made foam "tree roots" to mimic a natural amazon setting for my angels.

I am from upstate new york. Dutchess county to be exact.
