Hi there, my name is Sarah, I'm from North Dakota. Few words to describe me and my interests? I own a dog grooming business, have 4 "kids" (Great Dane named Bella, 2 Pembroke Corgis named Wyatt Earp and Annie Oakley and a Nanday Conure named Java), love anything artsyfartsy and crafty. I have been deaf since I was five and read lips.
I love the colour orange and drive an orange Honda Element with a matching orange ipod and orange stuffed crabs all over the dash. This love of orange crosses over into my love of fish....I have 6 orange Parrot fish. Love the fugly little suckers. They are very outgoing, not shy at all and are a hoot to watch, which I spend far too many hours doing so. Some would say I need a life.
Ok enough about me, on to the fish.
I have had freshwater tanks for awhile now and am currently in the process of shopping and upgrading to a 120-150 for my parrot cichlids. Having a hard time finding large used tanks in my area, so it's a bit frustrating.
I currently have a bunch of smaller tanks...largest being a 55g which currently houses 7 juvenile parrot cichlids. They will be moving into the large tank and the 55g will be turned into a brackish tank for a rescued red scat and dragon goby until I can afford an upgrade for them. They are being rescued from an overstocked 20 gallon
I also have a 29g ocean themed biocube (as in, fake coral galore...purty without the painintheass factor!) with yellow labs, cory cats, flower shrimp and a kenyi, a 30g with a blue crayfish and a jewel cichlid pair, a 10g dwarf puffer tank and various 1-3g betta tanks. Thankfully I have a large apartment!
Am looking forward to getting to know you all and eventually have outrageously large aquariums in every inch of my apartment. I need someone to blame for this addiction...I'm sure you folks won't mind shouldering that burden, right??
