Hello all! I very recently started the hobby. The mixture of science and art is what has me hooked!

I did quite a bit of research prior to purchasing anything. I was limited to to petco/petsmart/walmart. I called and searched out every possible local fish hobby store listing.
They either didn't exist or weren't a hobby store.

The lack of support from an LFS lands me here. I hope to find answers, support, and fellow hobbyist here!
 
Surprised there are no lfs in your area. There used to be a nice one in Carson City. Good luck

I suppose I could drive out to Carson City, but not in the current weather! I might post my current setup in an appropriate thread for review by peers! Maybe a picture too!

Woo hoo another person from norther NV .Hi I just joined the site too. Yeah they closed the only true fish shope in Reno. That place was awesome. We have jans tropics in Carson near the down town. The advice you get there is not good some of the fish are in sad shape but it's worth checking out. She will order fish for you if you ask.
 
What happened to Reno?! When I lived there, there were tons! Last I was there a year ago there was one just on the outskirts of downtown. Around 4th if I remember correctly. Bums me out they all closed down...
