Hi everyone :) I'm in Rochester, NY where my husband and I have a very varied tank of cichlids. We don't have any problems except that the plecostomus (I know I spelled that wrong) has gotten too big too hide anywhere in the tank. We have a Jack Dempsey and about 8 others of which I can't identify any of them. I only recognized the JD in a pet store and said "Hey! There's Queen only MUCH smaller" lol. Queen is the biggest fish in the tank. She lays eggs about every other week now and will attack any fish (or hand) that gets anywhere near her bowl. There isn't another fish like her in the tank and the eggs never last more than a day or two (they just disappear). After reading up on this, I'm not sure whether to slip a breeding screen in after they appear or to remove the bowl after she's laid the eggs or what. I'm hoping to learn more so here I am :)
