Hi, my name is Joe and live near Norwich in England.
I was made aware of this forum after googling "massive fish tank", and one guy's 50,000 gallon arapaima tank came up

I have had a number of tanks of various sizes over the past few years and really enjoy everything that comes with it.
I currently have my biggest tank so far which is a 6' x 2' x 2' discus tank. I have 7 discus in it at the moment as well as a few small catfish and a handful of tetra. Before this I mostly had bigger cichlids like oscars etc which were great fun and loads of character, but I have to admit i'm now loving the discus! I have one pair that have formed and have spawned a few times in the community tank, no success yet, but I think I understand the reasons behind this. In fact, this evening, they are starting to clean another area ready for another go
The main reason I then joined the forum is because when we move to a bigger house in a year or so, I am planning to build my own monster tank.. and there seems to be an unlimited amount of knowledge on here.. so, as my plans and costings start to get more and more solid, no doubt I will be asking to tap into some of that knowledge.
Thanks and I look forward to chatting to you guys
Joe
