Hello everyone and greetings from Essex in England.

Desperately trying to find out if jumping is normal for Sterlets?

Mine eat well (they're both about 18 to 20 inches long and I've had them for a year...they've increased by about 75% since I bought them)

The water levels are OK and below limits. Air pump is 70LPM and going fine.

So back to the question..is it normal for Sterlets to jump occassionally?

Thanks in advance.:)

I have found a site that says they often jump or bob at the edges of ponds when looking for food. There is an excellent source for fish and info in the UK, just go to www.sturgeon-web.co.uk

Thanks!

Welcome to the sight! Glad to see a sturgeon keeper!
