Hi MFK: I've been reading the site for quite a long time and thought I would register to access the search feature. I've been in the hobby for many years. Up until I met my wife I kept primarily fish; but when we first moved in together she (never really impressed with fish) thought it would be neat to have a turtle. So she bought a turtle. Well that turtle looked lonely to her, so she came home with another turtle. That was 9 years ago. The two turtles (turtles live forever) currently live in a 150 gallon tank. I run an FX5 for filtration and do a 100% water change each week. My wife's interactions with the turtles over the years has been limited primarily to looking at them. When I am not cleaning the turtle tank, I manage to keep a few fish in other tanks (currently an oscar, a group of convicts and a group of jewels). I don't have anything "monster" but I do enjoy reading about people with huge tanks which makes this one of my favorite sites.

Hi and welcome! Great to have a few New Yorkers on the site. Don't you worry, after a while you will be doing a lot more than using the search feature
