Hi All,

I just want to introduce myself as a new member of this forum. My name is Jay and I currently have 120 gallon aquarium set-up and taking care of my 15" jardini arowana for about 1 year and 7 months now. I got him when he was still 3 inches big and fell in love with this majestic fish since then. I just moved him from a 55 gallon aquarium to the 120 gallon aquarium about 3 weeks ago.

My aquarium set-up:
120 Gallon aquarium
2 fluval 306 canister filter
1 Marineland Maxi-Jet 1200 powerhead
1 24" fluorescent light
2 marinland L.E.D light (came from my 55 gallon tank) which I use to be a night-light for him

Arowana Diet:
Freeze-Dried Shrimp (Daily)
Market Shrimp (Daily)
Hikari Pellet (before but he stopped eating this for 3 months now)
Crickets once a month
"Gourmet Fuzzy Mouse" once a month as a treat

Hope to learn from everyone here since I am also having issues feeding him after moving him to his new aquarium 3 weeks ago. Since before, he used to eat 2 market shrimps in one meal (I feed him twice everyday) or at least 15 Large freeze-dried shrimps daily and now, he won't even touch the freeze-dried shrimp, nibbles and then spits out the market shrimp or ignores it at all. I have tried to not feed him for about a 4 days and then feed him again so he eats like half of the market shrimp and then ignores the next serving. Sorry for the long introduction.

Jay

Welcome to MFK.. Beautiful Jardini..... gorgeous set up ..clean and crisp.. glad your here with us

Welcome.
I wouldn't worry. Just didn't like the move. He can go for weeks without eating with no ill effects. I would not feed for two weeks and then get him back on the pellets. They are better for him. Just give dhrimp once or twice a week. Good luck. Oh, no tankmates? He doesn't play well with others?

Yeah no tankmates since day 1. I am planning to buy a bottom dweller (RTC) but I think it's too late already since he might just kill it right away...
