I live with my family in Palawan Philippines. I am actually doing aquaponic's raising Tilapia. Not that I have not had big fish tanks for pleasure. I had a 60 gallon tank in our business in Virginia before moving here. and I have a 60gallon tank here (currently inactive).
I just stopped by to look at some of the ways you guys put together tanks and tanks supports to glean some ideas on building float troughs for my family/commercial size Aquaponics system. We don't have lots of the items I am used to in the States so I have ad to come up with others means.
I am looking to build a 12inchH by 4 footW by 16 footL float trough for 1,000 liters of fish tanks holding around 90 Tilapia. I want to build the float trough out of plywood. But I need a support frame for it to keep it from busing under the weight of the water. Ans it need to be off the ground a little so termites cant live under it. I have already figured out the interior coating a elastomeric Rubberized roof coating soaked sheets and additional coatings up to 8mil maybe 10.
I like some of your guys tanks and fish collection. By the way I saw a
tentacled snake here in Palawan Philippines even though they are not reported as living here or discovered here yet. It may be a related species as that of Vietnam or it may be a unique species. I didn't mess with it because I thought it was poisonous and I was just swimming. there are also these little black water snakes here that will swim right up on you at times when swimming in the rivers.
Anyway, just saying hello
