Hello I am new

Well here I am. I am in Mount Isa(aust) and I have a beautiful Barra, but unfortunately he is not eating at all I need some info on what other people feed and what tank set up you all have. I have had him (Hookie) for about 2 years and need my little mate to eat. Any thoughts drop me a hook,line.......

What size tank do you have, filtration, water change shcedule, what are you feeding him and what is your water like? (Nitrite, ammoina, nitrate etc)

4 foot tank, otto 800 canister filter, under gravel filter, heated,air stone,plants, quality drift wood, weekly quart water changes, ph test and ammonia testing, all good, shrimp and native pellet. Clear water. Pet shop test my water. had small bump on face from speed crash, broke open into sore. teated with Melafix last week but still not eatting to my knowledge. Can fish go into self perserve as such where they dont eat for weeks because of cold, ill ect?

If you water is too cold it might not eat.
