Hello I'm new and need help please.

I am concerned about our Freshwater Eel he/or/she body is ballooning up and barely moving but it's head is still small. It looks like the fish is going to POP even it's mouth is funky. I feel real bad and our other eel wont leave it's side. They just lay on the bottom in the corner. We have had the eel for 2 years and is a good size and I will be sad if it dies. This has been going on for about 3 weeks or so. Any suggestions?
