i am 13 and new to monster fish ... current owner of a bichir , an arowana, and two oscars ... had a flowerhorn which died recently :( dk why ...

i need help with my oscars and arowana ... i bought those three in the same week along with a new tank ... the oscars are very aggresive and attacks my arowana alot ... any way i can prevent that ??... the oscars and arowana are now in seperate tanks, but the tank the oscars are in is not very big and the oscars will soon out grow it ... any way the oscars and arowana can live together in harmony ?? or maybe if my arowana grows bigger they might not attack it anymore ?? ... if so what type of food (live, freeze-dried etc.) will help my arowana to grow faster and stronger ??

sorry for awful english :(

What kind of arowana and how big? Baby arowanas are generally best kept by themselves for quite awhile.

If you have aggressive oscars it's unlikely that they will suddenly be ok with your arow.

i think it's a silver arowana and it is very young
i've heard that if i put the oscars in the tank after the arowana they will leave it alone ... will that work ?? and will the oscars attack something bigger than themselves ??

No matter who you put in first, if the oscars don't like the arowana they will attack it. I had a 13" oscar with a 22" silver arowana and the oscar harrassed him. And some silvers are really weird. Mine would attack and lip lock with cichlids, he just didn't seem to like them.

A baby arow, I would not suggest trying to keep with any other fish, much less aggressive fish. They tend to start out very shy and they need a calm and peaceful tank and plenty of meaty foods, and its best to feed a large variety. Also very clean water (and oscars produce too much waste). Mines main staple was high quality meat based pellets, of various brands, and krill. But juveniles can be hard to get on dead or prepared foods. They will usually take krill, but you cant feed that by itself.

And I do hope you have a large tank to move him to. They grow very fast up until about 2 ft long. And they can reach 3ft+.

Also make sure you have a tight fitting lid with absolutely no gaps, because they WILL jump if there is any space whatsoever to get out of. And for juveniles you may want to drop the water level a few inches so they are less likely to smack into the lid when they get startled.

Is it normal for my arowana to be near the surface of the water most of the time ??
yes

i have the same problem, my aro is around 9 inches and killed his two younger sisters. i recently got a longfin red tiger oscar (male) from what the breeder told me. but the oscar doesnt bite, looks more like a headbutt. My aro's jumped from the tank- and has really made cleaning the tank a pain. i have 2 plecos in there, but that wont clean the tank forever, ideas?
