Name is K, just wanted to say hi and I'm looking to get into Monster fish in the near future but not rushing yet because I don't have a big enough tank yet. Anyhow, I'm sure MFK will point me in the right direction as far as helping me pick out the right monster.

Welcome. I'm pretty new myself. I've been keeping freshwater and saltwater fish for about 15 years now, but only recently joined this great forum. Never had a Monster fish before? Read a lot of the FAQ's and fish health posts. There is great wisdom here- pay close attention, and keep an open mind. My first large fish were all freshwater species, then I moved into saltwater. It's *usually* cheaper to go with freshwater to start things out... That is unless you're investing in an arapaima pond!
