Thank you, today i'm getting my new tank setup and thinking about breeding Oscar and parrot fish together.

you have a tank that is to small for this. by US gallons about a 50g, this is not good for one Oscar let alone other stock, sorry,

what is the best tank size for oscar fish?

single Oscar, 75 to 90g. pair, 125 min, 140 to 180 better, when talking about larger cichlids, foot print of the tank means allot, 75 or 90g 4ft tank, 125 or 140,180, 6ft tank.

your tank better suited to smaller cichlids rams and the such, if looking for cichlids, or perhaps discus.

The tank is too small though, Oscars should be kept in 75g minimum.
