First post on this site. Lots of good information here. I will have to do some reading before I put my foot in my mouth. I have 21 assorted Cichlids 1-5 inches in size I just got given to me from a friend. There in my 75 Gal tank I just set up. I also have a 45 gal tank I have kept a Common Pleco in for the last 9 years. He is now 16 inches long but started out about 2 inches long! His buddies are 23 Neon's and a few more on the way.

The Cichlid Tank has about 9 different types, sorta have the names but still working on them as they have been in there 8 days now. Just watched the Peacocks do the mating game and the female now has a mouth full of eggs!

I will be doing a lot of reading here for a while.

This is my Stand I built with the front off that hides the filter system. The New 75 gal tank was being tested with some gold fish out of my pond to check the Cycle. Now it is full of the Cichlids. I hope the picture shows up?

Welcome to the forum.

A 16" pleco in a 45 gallon sounds kind of rough. The 75 gal setup looks great though.

The 75 gal tank was for the Pleco till I got the Cichlids given to me. He has the tank to himself except for the Neons. One day I will get him a bigger tank.
