Hello,New To Arowana

Hello MonsterFishKeepers,i love arowanas but i never got a chance too keep them,and i want too know how to care for one.Does anyone have tips like what to feed them? and how big they get? and are they aggressive? and what can i put with them? and what tank size i need? temperture?can i put the aro with my fire eel?

Welcome to MFK =D,i love keeping arowanas too,you feed them freeze dried krills,pellets,MP,mealworm,crickets etc just check this link: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=218052 and the size depends on which arowana most get 30"-36" and there only aggressive towards each other,other tankmates should be fine,you can put bichirs,gars,rays,datnoid, and you need a 6x2x2 for minim and temp should be from 82-84 F

I believe he means Massivor Pellets, correct me if i'm wrong, and as long as your fire eel is big enough, it should be fine.

oh ok thank you,my fire eel is about 15 inches,my fish store has a 5 inch arowana for $30 is that cheap?
