Hi, I am a beginner with fish, but I have a bit of knowledge on fish, just the fish. I love fishing, and I also like keeping fish, I know I may have a smallish 75 gallon tank for my Jardini but most people think its fine. And if I'm lucky my Jardini won't get too big. I can help people with fish behavior issues and stuff like that. But I need a lot of help myself.

welcome man, but get a bigger tank for that jardini. if it stays small it probably stunted

Really? They only get about 18 inches long, so I think a 40 inch tank would be fine.

But I'll be honest, it would be a bit tight for the arowana.

But I've seen people keep them in 75 gallon tanks a lot.

People in my LFS say its good to keep it in a 75 gallon.

And does it stunt if it has enough space?

welcome to mfk.. please do not listen entirely to people in pet stores.. some are knowledgeable but some are not.......... read arowana care and information in general here in the forums ...learn all about them and all the things others have endured to raise them properly then make your own decision once you understand their needs....... nice to meet you

Hi welcome to mfk's , my jardini is currently six yr old and is fine in a 5x2x2 but I would say that's the min size for an adult , I started off with a smaller tank he was in a 4x18x18 for awhile then upgraded to a 4x2x2 he was fine in that for a few years , be warned though they do become aggressive especially as they grow and space becomes a prob , mines killed loads of tankmates over the years
