L273 vary quite a bit in quality (color) like L25 does. My 1st L273 was not very colorful so I didn't get any more for a long time. My recent group of 7 is much nicer, but even in this group they vary a fair amount. A seven pointer is a top grade but even with them the amount of red (particularly) in the tail can vary a lot. I'd pick L25 if you don't have pictures of both (a safer bet). If you do, pick the one that grabs your interest.
There will be a better market for l273 as when all those l25 grow up and start breeding overseas the market will be saturated while there isn't too many l273 breeders out there.

I have never had a l25 but do have a l273 that I bought over a l25. lots of orange but have seen them almost all black so guess it is a fish by fish thing!
Cool, thanks for all the input. I been watching youtube videos of L25's and L273 comparison and I really really like the L25. i might put the order two of them tomorrow.
