Hello there - How many hours or days separate your feedings?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Me - daily:

Feeding #1 - 8:45 a.m.
Feeding #2 - 12:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m.

So, there is a 7-8 hour lapse between the nighttime feeding and the morning feeding, and a 16 hour lapse between morning feeding and evening feed.

I will throw in the odd fast, but not for a full day, just an omission of feeding 1 or 2 on any given day.

Curious to hear how much time goes by between your feedings.

So a twelve hour turn around and a single feeding.

See, I need to maintain small two feeds per day as my fancy goldfish are much like cows and need to eat, graze constantly.

My African tank is very young, but still, I think i'll maintain the two feeds, just small ones.

i tend to feed sporadically. my fish vary in size and age from babies to adults. i only have the 1 tank (75 gallons). One day i might do 2 smaller feedings. 1 before work about 2pm and another after i get home around midnight. the next day they might get fasted and the next they might get 1 large feeding. gotta keep em guessin.

my 3 big cariba get fed once or twice a week. So it could be anywhere between 3-7 days between feedings.

I feed my spilo every two or three days.

I may feed at several times a day 8a-9a, 12p-2p, 4p-5p or 9p-11p. I generally do not feed more than twice a day. But sometimes I will not put anything in for anywhere from 1 - 3 days.

I have a lot of growouts so I'm on a pretty similar schedule as you Redear. Basically when I wake up and when I go to sleep, and I skip a feeding or two every week.
