Hello all!
New to the MFK forum. Just a little background on me.. I currently have a 54G Corner tank with SA Cichlids. 1 Jack Dempsey, 1 Albino Oscar, 2 Convict Cichlids, 1 Green Terror and a Pleco. PFS as my substrate. I am just now starting a 10G tank with aquarium sand sub and a penguin 200 biowheel filter. I am wanting to do this tank with African cichlids. I have never done africans before so im looking for some advice. Here are some of my questions...
1) How can I go about using my "existing filter matter" to help cycle the tank faster and have my good bacteria in the 10G without buying a bacteria supplement
2) What PH and temp do africans thrive in
I appreciate all of the help in advance!!
Thanks,
John
