I live in Hawaii and have worked at the Waikiki Aquarium.
Right now, I'm in Wisconsin for school. My apartment is on the small (read:cheap!) side, so all I have is a 10 gal tank. I found it awhile ago at a thrift shop for only $1, so that was just the sign I needed to start an aquarium.
Right now, I have 3 moonlight gouramis and 2 golden algae eaters. Along with 2 fake sword-type plants with leaves touching the water surface, and a large piece of driftwood that spans about 80% of the diagonal length of the tank. It's a beautiful piece of driftwood, no visible smooth-face cut marks. Black gravel, and a Dirt Magnet sponge filter meant for 25 gal tanks. I have some java moss coming in that will arrive in a few days, and I will be attaching that to the driftwood. No lighting really, direct sunlight on 1/4 of the tank for about 2 hours a day from my skylight. That's my tank in a nutshell. They're neighbors to my hedgehog named Sushi.
Howdy howdy.
