Hello, I was advised to check this forum out after deciding to buy a Red Tail Catfish...Now another forum I am on has totally dissed me for buying this fish thinking I saw it and just decided to buy!!!!
However I did research into this fish and asked several experts and spent an hour with the shop keeper who has 2..and as I bought it from maidenhead aquatics they have their own prohibited to sell list which this fish was on. But seeing as we knew the shop owner and he knows our experience and set ups he allowed me to take the fish home.
She is currently 4" and living in a 4ftx2ftx2ft and know she wont be in here long but we are going to get it a custom built tank within 1yr of atleast 10x4x4 and made of thick glass as I have heard the like to throw things around. The filter is currently and external with a built in heater and is still not filtering near its capability..
What do you guys think? think I am providing this fish with a decent living accommodation as the other forum really has knocked the happiness in owning a stunning fish like this
