Hi everyone!

i'm new to the forum and just wanted to ask for some help. i've been browsing the forum and can't help but notice some great tanks! i just purchased my first tank, it's a small tank :( , i think 20 gallons and just wanted some ideas for any nice fish that i can keep in there.

you need to give us a clue as to what types of fish you like such as cichlids and from which region, live bearers, characins etc.
 
:( sorry, im new to this so i don't relly know much about fish. but im looking for something pretty and quite agressive. let me know what you think and i'll look them up. cheers!
 
its ok no need to apologise, you didnt do anything wrong. i think cichlids are pretty much out if those 2 requirements must be met.
you may be better looking at characins, such as exodons. pretty, aggressive, predatory and must be kept in a species tank. grow to about 3-4" in an aquarium i think. go to this link for info on them http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=234 and search for them at the top right of the web page.

I like Tiger Barbs ... Tin foil barbs (But they get big) Molly's and Pleco's are cool. Check out a FeatherFin Cat (they get big too) ... You will need a bigger tank before to long

Thanks for all the replies. just wanted to ask were i might be able to find pics of the fish you suggested becaus i'm new to all this and don't really know much!!

and i've seen these fish on youtube and want to know if someone could give me some info on them and if they would be able to live in my tank.
