Hello,
My name is Christopher and I live in Dubai. I've got more tanks than I should and a pond too. Well I say pond, other might say childrens swimming pools but after you've filled it with rocks, plants and fish it surely become a pond doesn;t it??
I've already posted in the arrowana forum but thought perhaps I should post here too.

Live stock I have includes 4 oscars, two big two not so big,
A couple of clown loaches,
A couple of rapidly growing Pacu,
Four goldfish,
Numerous Plecos,
5 Crayfish
a Couple of Big Snails (Don;t know what kind but they live in the pond and I rarely see them)
A large tinfoil barb
A monster gourami which I resuced from a rather dingy LFS where he was being kept in a tank too small to turn around in. My good deed turned around to bite me in the *** because after repairing the damage seen in the photos he thanked me by attacking a smaller (bit still not small) gourami I had. That gourami commited suicide last night. (or was he pushed??) Anyone able to ID what kind of gourami he is? He has visible teeth if that helps.
I've also got a Pearl Arowana (Jardini if you like) which is my pride and joy. I bought him at about 2 inches and now he is about eight. He seems to have slowed down on the growth lengthywise and is concentrating on getting a fuller body. He's a terror too. The Pacus are in with him at the moment but I think they will have to come out soon, they are showing some signs of being attacked. The difficult part is that if I leave the arrow on his (or her, can anyone tell?) then it gets depressed and nervous and won;t eat or swim about.
Oh, and there is a Blood Parrot Cichlid that came with a tank I bought. I think it's a very one star fish but my dad likes him so I let him stay.

I had a big old Silver Arowana but he died because I made a massive error of judgement but that's another story which can be found in the arow forum if you want to know about it.

ANyway, it's good to be here and if there is any other MFKs in the UAE, PM me!

Oww, pictures! :)

Thanks guys, it's good to be here. It's an awesome site, i've spend ages just trolling through reading about how far people go for their fish. ( I buried my arowana in the garden which raised some eye brows but I've not yet reached the stage where I freeze the dead ones. Soon perhaps :) )

I'll get some pictures of the Pacu when i get home assuming the evil Jar hasn;t eaten them this afternoon. They're not huge but I bought them with intention of growing them out to go in the pond.

Whats wrong with burying an arow in the yard... i did the same with a 34 inch silver that jumped out on me years ago.. i have since learned to weight down the top and cover with tape every excape hatch... i hope your pacus will be just fine.. l love pacus.. they have great personalities.. gentle giants.. mine loved grapes, zuchinni and cucumbers and pieces of carrots.. and then i fed them cichlid pellets as a staple.. looking forward to seeing them...
