Hello, im new here and figured id say hi. I currently have 55 gallon Blood Parrot tank, and just bought another 55 Gallon to set up as an all African Cichlid tank. Any advice as to what I might need diffrent or just any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Just like to say welocome to MFK

and which cichlids areyou looking to get

I like the yellow labs alot, but not too certain as to what might go well with them. I kinda want the salt water look to the tank without actually being salt water. So lots of colors and maybe some sandy substrate.

Yellow labs are a great species, as they are mixable with a lot of different types of cichlids. I had them with Rusties and Aceis, and they mix well with them. A lot of different colors and mild behavior.

snad with broken coral looks afective

Do these guys seem to like alot of current? I have an extra sump laying around that im going to use and a long air hose for water movement. Should I use a Powerhead?

Their habitat does not have one way current unlike some riverine species. They do need plenty of oxygen and surface movements to ensure oxygen is maximized.
