Whats up everyone?

Name is Ryan (duh). as you can see i live in Minnesota. I've been keepin fish for about half of my life (so, 12 years or so).
As far as what I've kept, here is a quick rundown:

Discus
Angelfish
Texas Cichlid
Jack Dempseys
Oscars
Labs
Frontosa (80 billion fry is an wierd experience, what the hell do I do with them?!)
Green/Red Terrors
Clown Knife
Numerous Plecos
Gourami's
Pirahna's
Betta's
Largemouth bass
Smallmouth Bass
Rock Bass
Bluegill
and many more I've simply forgotten

About two years ago I made the stupid decision to sell almost all of my tanks and gear and just stop keeping fish. It got expensive and at up a lot of valuable space. However, I'm ready to hop back in. Right now all I have is an empty 40 Breeder (the only tank I kept). I would like to get something bigger, but I'll wait untill i decide what fish it is I'm going to keep first. I'm certainly open to suggestions! At the moment, I'm very interested in Peacock Bass but it's not set in stone.

:welcome: this is the place for cichla info, but a 40 will only last you a short time with pbass:)
You will be looking for ocean size tanks in no time if you stick around:D

LOL, I have no intention of ever sticking a Pbass into the 40!

Thanks for the welcome!

Hiya Ryan, welcome to MFK

You could stick juv. pbass into the 40gal. Actually i would recommend it. They are kinda delicate when young, so the smaller the tank the easier it is to keep the temps up and monitor them. 82 degrees is the minimum you should keep pbass, cuz below that temp they start gettin more succeptable to ich...:(

Have you condisdered/looked into Crenicichla (pike cichlids).....if not....ya might should do that...;). There is a subforum here dedicated to them, ya should check it out! ;)
