Hello everyone. I teach 6th and 7th science in Kansas City through Teach For America. One of the kindergarten teachers at my school gave me a bunch of tadpoles this year, and I found out that my students didn't know they turned into frogs (they thought they were fish). I became rather upset that someone hadn't taught them about that in the past, and I came to school the next day with a 20-gallon setup. Months later, I now have four tanks, fourteen bullfrogs, a painted turtle, and two enormous crayfish that I have yet to identify. The students in my school are extremely deprived of interaction with such creatures, and I hope to change that as much as possible.
