Hello to all. I just activated my account and hope to glean as much information as possible to assist in the set-up a tank that I will soon purchase.
My daughter came home from college for the summer and with her came a small tank. This rekindled an old interest from years ago, and I am ready to jump in with both feet.
Years ago while on acitve duty in the military I had a 55 tall with a pair of oscars and a couple of JDs that I got very small. Over several years they grew quite large, and I enjoyed the unique behavior of the 0scars. Sadly I had to go over seas and ended up putting my fish in the large community pond of a local pet store.
My intent is to establish a 125 with an Oscar and other american cihlids with the best filtration that I can afford.
I look forward to learning from you all, and will gladdly accept suggestions.
