I am new to keeping fish and off to a bad start. Pet Smart gave some really bad advice 3 times. ATM my daughters glowfish are alive and kicking thanks to a co-worker of mine who over heard the petsmart story. He told me about his salt tank and got me interested. Now i am all about some Lake Victoria fish and CA/SA.

I am looking at getting a 75+ in the next couple of months and start with a Lake V tank. Later on i am planning to do a big tank with Oscar or other SA fish.

Welcome to MFK, there's alot of info in the cichlid forums. If you get into CA/SA cichlids I'll see you over there. Good luck nice to see your kids interested in keeping fish it's a great hobby.

You'll find yourself being obsessive about one idea, and then you read an awesome thread ..and then your on to another.. the ideas and wants never stop with fishkeeping.. or at least not for me and I know many others..

Thanks, i am liking all these post. I am flip flopping leaning towards SA atm

went to walmart and wanted to hurt someone, or buy all those poor fish... and even worse they were over priced. my daughter asked a million questions, she is 3 1/2.
