Just a bit about my aquarium and myself. I'm an IT professional that has a fishtank......... OK OK, My fish tank is a 72 gall bowfront with a few acquired faves. I currently have 4 clown loaches, a dojo loach, 4 gourami(2 kissing and 2 pearl, 6 serpae tetras, a golden panchax, a plecostomus and a 4 inch clown knife. up until last weekend I also had 6 cherry barbs but seems my clown knife decided that bloodworms and brine shrimp weren't lively enough. Am really considering taking him back as I don't think it'll be long before he starts serving up serpae as his entree. Absolutely love reading forum posts and figured it was about time to post and maybe join in on some of the fun.

Welcome and ya, it would be a very good idea to get rid of the clown knife, because in a year or two he'll outgrow your 72g anyway probably...I'm surprised the serpae tetras are still alive, they'll most likely be the next to get eaten, my 4 inch clown knife can down 3 dozen guppies in one night..just saying

Good idea. Absolutely love watching the clown knife but do have to make sure he's going to be content as well. My pink Gourami are 4 and 6 inches respectively and my pleco is about 9. the others vary between 2.5 inches (tetras) to about 6" which would be my dojo. Clown loaches are still about 3 inches but have seemed to avoid the whole rig-a-ma-role. Thanks again for the input greatly appreciated.

Yes, clown knives are very cool to watch! I would hate to get rid of him myself but, you gotta do what you gotta do I guess. I would suggest either keeping him and getting rid of your tetra or just getting rid of the CK and keeping the tetra.

Ya, it's more of a collaboratory suggestion as it seems "we" have a mutual one sided agreement(she likes her tetras LOL) Ah well, will just have to wait til I have room for another larger tank.
