Hello all,

I just recently got into the salt water aquarium hobby. I currently have a 29g fwlr system that is cycling and am already looking at diy projects for larger tanks and creative filtration methods. Google searching for various diy aquarium related projects brought me to this site. I will be poking around there hoping to learn.

Welcome to ]V[onster Fish keepers. What you plan on putting in the 29g?

To start, at the request of my wife 1 true percula clown fish. ontop of that and the janitors a lawnmower blenny (he is working double duty as a janitor but I really like their personality) probably a couple of wrasse or tangs and bala shark. I am still playing with the stocking. I have 2 damsels and about 10lbs of cured live rock in there at the moment though. I'd eventually like to add some coral but I have a newborn and toddler and lack the time commitment I think learning to keep corals would take.

29 isnt really big enough for a tang a small wrasse may be ok but i wouldnt do a tang in that small of tank.

Yes, I can see that now that i look closer. I also just realized bala sharks are freshwater only. Thanks for your advice.
