Well time for a boring intro here. No pics or fish for you to see.

I'm getting my first tank tomorrow. It's a 100 gallon oceanic aquarium with 3/4" glass. I'll have to get some pictures up when I get it in the home. Don't expect to see any fish in it for a little bit, I've got plenty of research to do before I get it set up and running. I'm here to learn and take in some knowledge before I set this tank in any certain direction.

Unfortunately the previous owner is having to put his hobby on the side but he's selling his set up to me for a reasonable price, which I greatly appreciate.

Hopefully soon enough I'll have something to contribute here myself.
 
I don't see an edit tab here so I'll add to this. I know I'll be starting with a fresh water set up and hoping to work my way into a salt water set up down the road. My ultimate goal is to get a nice coral tank set up, we're talking a few years down the road though I'm assuming.

I'm still looking for what fish I plan to put in this tank to begin with. The previous owner suggested flower horn, I'll have to speak with him more tomorrow and get some suggestions from him. If anyone has any tips for me I'm all ears.
 
Hi Welcome to MFK.. the big thing is to learn first and then take your time deciding what kind of fish interests you most.. etc.. so just stay on board and get information.. then pursue with knowledge.. you are doing it all right.
