Just joining the forum and wanting to start up a fish tank with a 55 gallon, and a 10 gallon tank. Have nothing else and dont know where to go from here.

Welcome to the site In terms of what direction you want to go with your tanks, have you had a think about what types of fish you'd be interested in, such as tropical, coldwater, marine etc?

If so the members here would be able to help you with stocking ideas, as well as how to "cycle" a tank in order to create a bacterial cycle that supports stable living conditions for your fish
