Hi! My name is Sarah.

I just recently discovered this site. I had a question that I think might have already been answered somewhere, but the site is so huge and there are so many threads! Could someone please point me in the right direction? I just recently moved to the Amazonous, Brasil. I'll be returning to the U.S. in one years time and I'm looking to bring some Apistogramma Dwarf Cichlids back with me. I know nothing about importing fish! I'm sure there is a thread that adresses this, but I couldn't find one!

I can't wait to find my new friends and post lots of pictures! thanks for any help you can give me!

Welcome! I have no knowledge of the laws regarding importing of fish, but there are many members that do. I don't believe that importing apistos would be a problem, but I defer to our mods and members that do know. I will PM this thread to mods that may be able to help you.

Seems to me that your best bet would be to contact US Customs for import info and restrictions.

What state are you looking to move back into? With most cichlids, it's just a basic import permit you'd need from US F&W.
