So my family is moving back to singapore and have opted to rent rather than buy. So this place which we have decided on ended up have a huge inbuilt 10ft tank in the wall! Boy was I surprised after seeing the pictures!! That's not all, through the pictures which my father took (he is in sg and I'm in australia) I saw some mega fish! These included 2 redtail catfish, 3 giant gouramis and 2 or 3 paroon sharks! My biggest tank has been 2 foot and these fish are atleast two foot long each! Ok... Excitement aside let's get into more serious matters. As these fish are rather large and relatively rare I would like to know some general care and diet facts for these fish, I have already researched temps, ph, hardness etc but cannot find much more. Also it would be great if someone could give me a reference to the water changes for a 10 footer!!??
Thanks!

I find it hard to believe that someone would leave their fish in a tank in a house that they are renting out. I guess if that tank is built into the wall, they'd have to leave it, just not sure about the fish?.

Giant gourami will eat anything infamously there was one that was raised on Chocolate in the United Kingdom.
they are supposed to eat pellets, koi food, cat food, fish, shrimp, chunks of fruit and vegetables, they are very easy to feed and become quite attatched to their owners :)

Hey sorry I will post pictures when I get home from school today. The owner of the house doesn't mind if the fish stay or if he takes them. Lol but I have to say I never though that I would ever be owning some of the biggest fish! So does anyone have some care tips? As I would like to know how to look after these fish to the best of my ability

Thanks

I have a giant gourami and a red tail cat, the red tail eats anything meaty, i often hand feed him ham and then give him a stroke after. My giant gourami eats pellet and he loves it. They are stubborn to changes in diet sometimes, giant gourami's will demolish vegetation so don't bother buying live plants, i do 50% water changed on my tank twice a week but they are very hardy and require little care in comparison to fish such as discus.
