Help! A fish dies every night!

This past week I’ve had a fish die every night. Just had my upside down catfish die tonight. He had a big white spot over his gills. Idk if this is just a thing after death, I never noticed before. The gouramis that died earlier both had what looked like skin that was coming off their gill area. I know I have ich and am treating that, but this doesn’t sound like ich symptoms.

It could be complications due to ich. Fungus perhaps? Or a secondary bacterial infection.

Can you give some more details.
Water readings, temp, tank size, fish still alive in tank(pictures would be great), what are you using to treat the ich?

Pics of the dead fish would help tremendously. There is also a section of this forum dedicated to fish diseases/illnesses where you might more/better help.

I agree with MrsE88 a lot more details required before we can help give you an educated guess as to what is happening...

Do you by any chance have pics of the fishes effected gill with the white growth? Coz that would be extremely helpful for those with more knowledge of fish diseases...

Water readings: 0 ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites. Ph about 7.8. 120 gallon tank. Temp is usually 78 but have been slowly raising to 82-83 to help with the ich. Variety of fish. Couple different sharks, knife fish, loach, tetras, mollies, and couple gouramis. I am using Paragard for the ich. And also use stability. I have some metafix (i think that’s the name can’t remember).

No I don’t a threw him out already. But it was covering the intire gill. Not little spots like ich

The gouramis had fuzzy stuff on its gill. I honestly thought at first that he had swallowed something but it got caught in it’s gill. But the catfish was a big white spot. Not really bumpy nor fuzzy

My biggest problem with ich is if you raise the tank temps fungus will kill your fish faster then meds will kill the ich. For that very reason I like using kordon ich attack. Then I don’t bother raising the temp at all.

How bad is the ich your treating?
