help about convicts

im from the Bichir threads an i was wondering cause i have a convict in with a bichir an was wanting to know just some general info about them. he is not eating the cichlid gold pellets but is eatin the food for the bichir.
 
i mean he is not comming to the surface were the pellets are but waiting for the sinking carnivore pellets to come to him. is he lazy or wats up.
 
probably just picky. usually after awhile he'll come around. try letting him get a little hungry. if he has no compitition for the food he will know it will still be there later and wont be in a rush.
 
yea cause the bichir has ghost shrimp in the tank to an im goin to pick up about 10 of them tommorow to. so i could prolly go 1 day without feeding them.
 
I stopped feeding my fish everyday about a week ago from cause of some advice from a LFS owner. now my dat is more owner responsive and he eats more everyother day then he did when i fed him daily. it just gives them that extra craving.
