I don't know if I'm worrying for no reason, but I know goldfish are bad for ACFs. Unfortunately mine got a hold of one intended for my P-Bass and I'm just wondering if eating one is going to have any ill effects.

depends on how big the gf is realy

Oh hells no, they'll eat fish no problem lol.

Why are they bad for them? As long as goldfish aren't its only food and its not carrying disease?

It just happened to get a hold of it huh? ;) I have heard of them bullying humans. Or are is it in same tanks with pbass?

Lol, thanks for the answers. Yes the ACF is in a tank with a 6" P-Bass, both of them are very well behaved and have never bothered eachother, another story once the bass gets larger I'm sure. Goldfish and minnows contain an enzyme that blocks the uptake of vitamin B in ACFs. I wasn't sure of the amount necissary to cause health problems. I haven't noticed any ill effects as of yet, so that's good. Thanks so much for the quick responses!

Im fairly sure it takes years of feeding goldfish consistently to do much damage.
