I have been cycling my new 125G tank for the past 7 weeks. Tested parameters today and Ammonia is zero, nitrites are zero, nitrites are right on (finally!). I will do a PWC and then plan to add my 4" EBJD.

Question is, the EBJD has been housed in a 20G with a UV sterilizer. The UV sterilizer is not nearly powerful enough to support the 125. Will the EBJD be okay in the 125 without a UV Sterilizer???

I've never used a uv for my ebjd. Had my largest for almost 5 years and he was healthy the whole time aside from one ich outbreak. At 4" it should be past most of the potential health issues these fish face.

Agreed, i too never used uv sterilizer on ebjd and have raised them from 1/2 in... once they get to that 4 in.. stage .. your pretty much out of the clear for anything drastic... but water quality is the key with these guys... More filtration then necessary and a good water change schedule.. and i've had nothing but healthy ebjd's ... good luck..
